Facebook "privacy" the best guide we have found…

Hi all, I realize that most of you are using Facebook for your business or maybe just for fun.  In recent weeks, there has been a lot of "talk" about Facebook privacy….so I thought I would write a short note explaining a few things in PLAIN english and make sure you all have easy access to the best new "guide" that was published last week on All Facebook.

First of all, the "talk" started because Facebook made a few tweaks with their system.  They simplified our choices for whom we should our information.  They used to have a "friends and networks" option for all the privacy settings….and they eliminated that option….so you can now choose between, "Friends", "Friends of Friends" and "Everyone" when you are setting who can DO and SEE things when interacting with your Facebook profile.

After they made this change, they they caused each of us to go through some of our settings when we logged in…..and people went a little crazy with suspicions about Facebook invading privacy, etc.

Well for those of us WANTING to be engaging and growing our networks, this all seemed weird and a bit confusing.

As I have always said, Facebook has LOTS of settings….may be too many sometimes…..so that getting it set-up the way you like, can be a bit confusing sometimes.  But you can make your profile as PRIVATE as you like or as PUBLIC as you like.

The settings are ALL there.

Anyway, All Facebook is a great website for those of you who are using the tool a lot and they have a great article for you: "10 New Privacy Settings Every Facebook User Should Know".

Well I am not sure that they are all "new", but they ARE good ones!
