Habits of one of our favorite successful marketing mentors?
Hi, if you have been active in the internet marketing world, you likely are familiar with Alex Mandossian. If not, you may want to check out his work and advice sometime!
Alex is an inspiring, successful, and clever internet marketing expert who like many of us aspires for extraordinary business success AND personal fulfillment by creating value for others AND doing so from his home office AND with time to spend with family.
Alex has a lot of tenets and habits that I aspire to own. But, on this Thanksgiving day, he wrote an article which reminded me of just a couple of Alex's daily….and annual habits that are part of his success….so which are also notable for the rest of us to ponder!
First, Alex believes in using lists. Lists of things to do, lists of key steps to help your customers, etc. Lists help us:
1) Keep track of things. Think of how helpful it is to think of the "7 habits of highly effective people" ….for example. If I remember 6 of them, I know that I must figure out that 7th, right? And with all the juggling we are all doing in life, ANYTHING that helps me remember things, is a wonderful tool!
2) Gives us a sense of progress. If you are like me, I like to set long term goals, but how difficult is it sometimes to FEEL progress toward that goal. My niece today reminded me that the long term goal and then short term lists really help keep the end goal in site, but enable us to take baby steps along the way and feel the success of progress with each step.
….but back to Alex. His list today is apropos for Thanksgiving.
He states: "The list I want to reveal to you this Thanksgiving Day is my Gratitude List of 101 Teachers who have influenced my life and reminded me of the importance of being a lifelong learner."
Alex calls this a "partial" list to acknowledge that he may have missed someone significant and that he must leave a placeholder for those important people. We are all human after all!
What struck me about Alex thoughts is that I also am an aspiring lifelong learner. And what strikes me is that I would find it difficult to make a relatively short list of those from whom I have learned.
When I was in the corporate world, certainly I learned from tradition mentors…those in positions "above" me. But, I think I learned often from others in the organization who were were entrenched in the daily operations of our business.
In the new media world, I have learned much from mentors like Alex. AND I have learned much from our friends and readers who have helped us learn through your questions and suggestions.
There are MANY teachers in our lives. And Thanksgiving is a terrific day to think about them and give thanks.

Thanks to all who have helped us continue our lifelong quest for learning!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Its really great a posted article like this. Can I suggest something if you dont mind? Well for me it will be. Instead, make it your goal to meet and connect with other like-minded individuals who you like as a person and focus on developing long-tem business relationships with them.
Thanks dating sider for you comments! I agree with you completely! Thanks forjoining the conversation…
