Barack Obama is "following" me! :)

Hi, we had a great teleseminar last Tuesday about Social Media….an intro session (Big Picture #2).  We appreciate all of your kind comments thanking us!!

So, what about my headline??   Well, to get you more intrigued about Twitter, I found Barack Obama on Twitter last Tuesday (Yes, the day of the inauguration).  We used his Twitter page as an example in our teleseminar last wek.  As long as I was there, I selected to "follow" him on Twitter…what the heck, right?

Well about 20 minutes later (Yes about an hour before he took his oath (the first time)), I received the message that Barack was FOLLOWING ME!!!

OK, he and his peeps are using some of the neat tools that automatically do things on Twitter, however, albeit automated, it still made me feel special.  Not a bad marketing tool for a new President who wants to gain the support and alignment of the American people…much better than NOT following me!

Social Media can be very simple.  Even in its simplest form, you can grow your network and connect more easily with others than with any other tools ever around before.

Have I convinced you to try it yet???

And yes, we will get back to blogging on "Purpose"….it just seems that many of you wanted to know about the tools that we have been using and learning about…..and the tools may make your "purposeful" work easier and more successful….
