Web 2.0 a simple explanation of the evolution

We talk about web 2.0 a lot…but what IS it. I did a little research today to borrow some simple explanations.

One of the simplest I found was that The Web 1.0 linked information, Web 2.0 links PEOPLE.

Businesses who will successfully use the web will strategize to use the web to create networking and community in a way never possible even 10 years ago.

Static web sites and information is 1.0. Interactive web presences are more 2.0…they welcome open opinions, input, and collaboration …this includes Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Myspace, Linkedin, and millions of blogs and interactive web sites.
