Randy Pausch - the ULTIMATE attitude chooser

If you have not heard of this amazing man, check out this link to ABC news information about him: abcnews.go.com/GMA/LastLecture/

Randy is a Computer Science professor at Carnegie-Mellon University…..he is also a father, husband, and is dying of pancreatic cancer.

If you read my previous blog about "Happiness is a Choice"…..you will know that I am inspired by people who take control of their purpose, actions and attitudes in life.

Here is a key message….that he leads with: We cannot change the hand we are dealt with, but we CAN change how we play the game.

His lecture addresses this fact as well as discusses dreams….our childhood dreams and how we can enable the dreams of others.

Randy is working to fight his cancer, but the realities of Pancreatic Cancer is that VERY few survive it.  So, he has chosen to accept the life does give us each certain realities to deal with and it is our choice to deal with them in the way we see fit.  He has chosen to spread the word about how to live life in the best way possible and live each day in its fullest.

So, Randy created his "Last Lecture"…..last September, put the lecture on the web for others to see, and he has now written a book.  He clearly developed and delivered his messages in a way that we all can take them in….and in a way that his children, who are still quite young can have access to their father's awesome insight for many years to come.

Enough from me.  I suggest that you check out Randy and contemplate his teachings for application in your life.  You will see that MANY have been touched and have changed their attitudes after listening to Randy.
