Intro: Boomer Chicks; Web Mavins

Wow, what a fun and learning filled journey.  Here we are in January 2008.  Just 9 months ago, I was a regular web user….Googling everything from jewelry auctions to historical facts to friends and family.  I love the internet and had some awareness of inTRAnets from my previous career. 

So, with my friend Elizabeth, we decided to embark on an Odyssey…..both entrepreneurial and technology driven. 

So, here, 9 months later, with a blog and a company website set up…..with the blog customized, I have learned a ton.  But the thing that I have learned most that I think will be useful to others is that the web world has great tools that are user friendly to us non-techies.  ANYONE can set up a professional web page and/or blog without need for a web developer.  Yes, I do see that if our business grows, that we might want to have a professional web developer assist us.

But the web world has many inexpensive tools that are extremely powerful to get things going. 

I will share more details about our Web Odyssey as we move forward.  We want to help others who can learn from our experiences.
